Julie, I'm writing because Connor just started 2 special needs programs at the YM-YWHA.  They are taught by a mom I met this year whose son is in Connor's class.  I'm hoping the boys will become friends as Connor has few (if any) friends other than his old Mackay classmates.  Anyway, we had already signed Connor up for a couple of other programs by the time I found out about these ones and funds are pretty tight at the moment.  I told my friend we could swing 1 class but not both.  She suggested I speak to Julie Longval and long story short, thanks to subsidies which I understand are due to the Y Cycle for Special Needs, we are able to afford to enroll him in both classes.  Today is his first day and so far, he seems to be really enjoying himself. So I wanted to write and say thanks as I know you have a lot to do with this fundraising. - Sheila

Why we ride
Proceeds from the Y Cycle for Special Needs are used to support Inclusion Services at the Sylvan Adams YM-YWHA. The Ben Weider JCC Special Needs department provides children, adolescents and adults with intellectual and physical disabilities with the opportunity to participate in programs that take place at the Y.
